Film : Rajaratha
Director : Anup Bhandari
Movie Review : 3/5
Rajaratha-The movie directed by Anup Bhandari, is the director's second movie after the stunning and commercially successful first movie, RangiTaranga which took Kannada cinema to an international level. The movie buffs who were impressed by the success of the first film, have now reached theaters and based on the overall audience response have enjoyed the pleasant journey this movie has to offer.

One of the things about this movie that people have liked is that the director has not tried to emulate his previous movie and has gone for a fresh script. This movie tells a very serious story in a different vein with hero and heroine as Engineering students who happen to board the 'Rajarathas' bus carrying a number of people on route to Chennai. There are plenty of different characters that the protagonists encounter on the journey which makes for an enjoyable viewing. The heroine is in a love-breakup situation and most parts of the plot revolves around the love story between the hero and heroine. The story also incorporates underlying subjects like political issues, border issues, fights and various other twists and turns.

The film's protagonists, Nirup Bhandari(Abhi) and Avanthika (Megha) have done a good job. Other actors in supporting roles such as Ravi Shankar, Tamil actor Arya (Vishwa) have also done justice to their roles with good performances. Comedy seems to be on point and there are many funny scenes in the movie. Rajaratha is fairly good movie, and though it may or may not live up to the hype created by 'RangiTaranga' it seems like an enjoyable journey.
